Three Things Thursday: A Gamut of Emotions

1. I'm happy that my run this morning went well. I went at what I perceived as an easy pace which is still probably faster than I should be running, but I've also got some things on my mind that needed sorting and I just went on feel. Splits of 8:46, 8:55, 8:47.

2. I'm excited that I received my MDI Marathon shirt in the mail yesterday.

I had planned on wearing it today, but it decided to warm up and mid-50s is just too warm for long sleeves. It's a great fit that is longer in the torso and sleeves which is going to be great this winter! It might already be my new favorite shirt.

3. I'm sad that my brother and his family lost their black lab this morning. She was a part of our family for eleven years and was a loving and very special dog. She will be greatly missed.

  1. My dog looks just like that one and he's on the tail end of life as well. Almost 13 years old... I'm not sure he has another one in him. It is so sad to lose a pet. :(

Love the shirt too!! It looks great on you! (I think you look like you've lost some weight as well, or maybe toned quite a bit?) Either way, you look great.

    1. It sure is tough, our oldest is now 10 and walks with a limp. Labs are the best.

And thank you for the compliment! I had to go weigh myself (it's been months) and I'm down 7 pounds! Holy moly! I'm so surprised given all the Halloween candy that I've been sneaking!

  2. So sorry about the pup. My black lab is nearing 10 and I dread the day we lose her. Labs are the classic Maine dog!

  3. I'm so sorry to hear about the doggy :( They truly are family , and it is never easy to lose one!
I haven't been to Mount Desert Island in decades, since we used to camp there when I was growing up. I can't believe they have a marathon! I need to go look it up right now!
