Tonight was the first night of yoga at River in Richmond. My Sunday running group, a.k.a. The Rail Trail Chicks, and I make up almost 2/3 of the class! I was a little nervous going in as I have only done any type of yoga by myself in the comforts of home and only once or twice. Read: I had no idea what I was doing.
It pretty much kicked my butt and my arms are jello from all the downward facing dogs.
I have a serious lack of balance, strength, and flexibility, but it was only the first class and I definitely feel more relaxed after. I'm certainly looking forward to the next nine weeks and seeing how much it helps my running and overall well-being.
In other news, the gears are turning for some super exciting things that will be happening on the Maine Mom on the Run blog next month. And that's all I'm going to say for now and leave you checking back for more. :-P
