Tomorrow I'm running the Great Osprey 10K Ocean Run in Freeport. It's the 30th Anniversary of the race that starts and finishes at Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park...beautiful. I'm pretty excited for this race, the weather is on my side - sunny and in the 40s. For me, that equals perfect running weather! And while not the most important thing, I think another PR is entirely possible. I mean, my current 10K PR was on an insanely hilly course in a torrential downpour. The only course map I could find was on MapMyRun and I am unsure as to its' accuracy, but it looks really promising!
When I started running in February I thought I would mostly run 5K's, but I'm finding that I really enjoy the longer run too. This will be my fourth and final 10K of the year and second to last race. I'm looking forward to comparing numbers and seeing how far I've come in nine months and creating new goals for next year. I know I've got so much more in me.
