Yea, nothing super special, just wanted to let you know that it is Thursday.
I think I have officially gotten to the point where I have become obsessed with running. With the RLRF program only having three running days, I really miss it on the off days. And the fact that I run before anyone else in my house is awake, so when the day's activities continue, it feels like it was forever ago that I ran...like a whole three hours ago at the time I'm writing this. By tonight, I will struggle to accept that it was this morning that I ran and not yesterday, it will seem to have been so long ago. Now I have to wait until Sunday to run again. Maybe I'm now to the point where cross-training on my off-days will be doable. My increased energy level could also be due to the fact that I actually got nearly seven hours of consecutive sleep last night. The one time I woke up was because I had to pee, not because Finn woke up. Thanks Finn!
It was sprinkling a little this morning as I stepped out the door, but was nice and warm at 52 degrees. I drove through a downpour for the 1.5 miles to the track and seriously considered stopping at the Community Center to run on a treadmill, but thought to myself, "You sally, it's warm out...run outside while you still can!" I'm glad I did. It was just misting during the whole five-mile run.
1 mile warm up (10:00)
3 miles @ 8:00 (8:08, 8:00, 7:50) Woohoo, negative splits!
1 mile cool down (9:31)
Total time: 43:31
Have a great day!
